CHRISTMAS MENU 2011

Thur. December 1st – Fri. Dec 23rd

Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays 6pm-9pm

Friday Lunches are available if at least eight people book for the session. 12pm-2pm

 

Appetiser...

A selection of homemade canapés to share

 

Starters...
Spiced parsnip soup with soy seeds
Scallop and leek gratin
Apple, winter leaf & walnut salad with Sussex brie and cider dressing
Potted South Downs pheasant with roast apples and toast

 

Palate cleanser...
 Pomegranate granita

 

Mains....
Roast free range black feather turkey with all the trimmings
Sussex wild Rabbit and wild boar “wellington”
Roast winter squash, sage and hazelnut strudel (v)
Pan fried fillet of Sea Bass, duchesse potatoes, steamed leeks & prawn bisque sauce
All roasts will be served with roast potatoes and a selection of seasonal Sussex or Kentish vegetables

 

Desserts...
Piglet’s plum pudding with brandy and orange sauce
Homemade fair trade chocolate and rum truffles
Lemon and pistachio arctic roll

 

To follow....  A selection of Sussex cheese with homemade chutney and crackers

To finish.... coffee, sweet delights and golden tickets for the lucky few!
